NATIONAL SAFETY APPAREL is Hiring a Human Resources Generalist Near Cleveland, OH
- Responsible for managing employee relations issues including but not limited to counseling, coaching, and corrective action
- Coach and guide managers, assist with training and development of employees and managers
- Full cycle recruiting for hourly and salaried roles at HQ, assist with other locations’ recruiting needs
- Assist employees with payroll and benefits questions
- Manage FMLA, STD, ADA and other leaves
- Review and approve hourly timecards on a weekly basis, maintain HRIS accuracy for all employee records.
- Onboard new employees, facilitate new hire orientations
- Conduct check-in’s with new hires
- Assist with company-wide internship program
- Facilitate the internal job promotion and interview process
- Performance management, including reviewing performance evaluations and providing guidance
- Coordinate and facilitate a variety of employee meetings, engagement events, and community support initiatives
- Update and maintain current job descriptions
- Create and maintain facility access badges for all new hires and current employees
- Track, monitor and coach employees and supervisors on weekly attendance
- Support HR Director with corporate-wide initiatives and projects
- Proper record keeping and employee file maintenance
- Employee communications
- Education & Certifications: Bachelor’s Degree required. HR Certification(s) a plus.
- Experience: 5-9 years prior HR experience. Prior manufacturing experience highly preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written skills, ability to communicate clearly and effectively with all levels within the organization
- Ability to lead initiatives that require project management
- Professionalism at all times and treating others with respect and appreciation
- Must work well in a fast paced environment and under pressure with competing priorities
- Accept responsibility for own actions and ensure strong follow-up on commitments
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential situations and documentation
