Cleveland Diagnostics Inc is Hiring a Human Resources Generalist Near Cleveland, OH

Human Resources Generalist
Cleveland DX is a rapidly growing early phase company and we are having a harder time managing the day-to-day HR tasks. Are you digitally savvy? Does the idea of helping others succeed excite you? Are you good at using the latest programs and tools to manage the workload? If yes, then we are looking for you!! Your duties will include updating HR documents and staff records, ensuring legal and benefit compliance, reviewing company policies, recording leaves and managing payroll, recruitment tasks and more! You also need to be well-versed in using LinkedIn for researching, approaching, and connecting with the right talent. Our ideal candidate is someone who has already worked in a similar/relevant role in one of their previous organizations. However, if you’ve got no relevant job experience but have the right skillsets to fill this role, we strongly encourage you to apply. Our HR Director will provide the right candidate with on-the-job training to sharpen your skills and abilities.
Job Summary:
The Human Resources Generalist will adhere to the highest standards of ethical and professional behavior and be responsible for providing support in various HR functions, including recruitment activities, employee relations, performance management and general compliance. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a fast paced, ever-changing startup/early phase environment and be able to diagnose and solve HR-related issues quickly and concisely with a high regard to confidentiality. Candidate must be a positive and team-oriented personality with proven ability to juggle multiple high-level tasks successfully through to completion, always operating with the highest level of professionalism. Must be capable and comfortable communicating across all levels of the organization and deliver timely and accurate resolutions. Candidate must be able to maintain a neutral stance when dealing with workplace issues and be available as needed in off hours.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Provide support in HR-related projects and initiatives and development/implementation of HR policies and procedures
  • Able to troubleshoot basic employe benefit issues as they arise
  • Assist with recruitment efforts, including job postings, resume screening, and scheduling interviews
  • Provide confidential support in employee relations matters
  • Assist with performance management and oversee ongoing new hire and annual training requirements and professional development
  • Ensure compliance with federal and state employment laws and regulations
  • Manage all outside contractor and consultant requests & agreements and audit/oversee employee training compliance files
  • Responsible for accurate and timely payroll processing & maintaining all confidential personnel records/documents
Qualifications:
  • Associate’s degree in a related field, and/or, at least 5 years of experience in a relevant professional role
  • Preference given to HR Professional Certification or demonstrated progression in their professional advancement/HR skill attainment
  • Must possess
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
    • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines, able to prioritize tasks
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with appetite for assuming many additional duties
    • Ability to be a hands-on/roll-up-sleeve team player, acting with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality 100% of the time
  • Basic understanding of employment-related laws and regulations
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite; Paycor HRIS knowledge/experience preferred
  • Experience working in an early phase/startup environment helpful
Physical Requirements/ Working Conditions/Equipment Used:
Work involves a fast-paced laboratory/office environment with a substantial amount of sitting and operating a computer and other technology related lab equipment through course of day. Offices reachable by elevator but should be able to climb stairs in case elevator out. Candidate must have ability to maintain punctual daily attendance. Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards. COVID-19 considerations: COVID-19 vaccination is highly recommended.
