POSITION TITLE: Human Resources Generalist
DEPARTMENT: Administration
REPORTS TO: Senior Manager - Human Resources

POSITION SUMMARY
As a Human Resources professional, you work every day to support your organization’s greatest asset: its people. At the Cleveland Rape Crisis Center, our people work hard every day to support survivors of sexual violence and human trafficking.

We’re looking for a dynamic Human Resources Generalist to join our team. This position will assist in managing all day-to-day human resources functions, including recruitment, benefits, administration of the performance management process, and maintaining all employee files. This person develops, maintains, and reports on various data points that support HR, and will work in and maintain our human resources information system (HRIS) and applicant tracking system (ATS).

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Works closely with the Sr. Manager of Human Resources to implement and maintain a comprehensive recruitment function, including scheduling/conducting interviews and completing background and reference checks; posting, advertising, and filling position vacancies through the ATS and HRIS; maintain electronic employee files; coordinate the development of position descriptions
  • Maintain administration of the time and attendance system
  • Maintain records of benefit plan participation; track leave usage, etc.
  • Maintain payroll function, including updating payroll records, reviewing and approving changes in insurance coverage, savings deductions, job titles and department transfers
  • Assist with other routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to performance and talent management; employee recognition and morale; training and development; and support the overall goals of the Human Resources Department
  • Maintain compliance with applicable federal, state and local laws by monitoring existing and new legislation, advising management and implementing needed changes
  • Attend various internal/external meetings for human resources issues
  • Serve on committees, attend training and seminars, as directed
  • Meet all job safety requirements and all applicable safety standards that pertain to essential functions
  • Support agency with maintaining accreditation, certification, and compliance to programmatic standard

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • 3 years of experience in Human Resources
  • Human Resources Related Certifications preferred - PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP
  • Proficient with posting, advertising, and filling position vacancies through the ATS and HRIS
  • Proficient navigating and reporting using applicant tracking system (ATS), as well as the agency’s human resources information system (HRIS)
  • Proficient in HR/Payroll software (e.g. Paycor)
  • Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Ability to use electronic database/s and videoconferencing tools (e.g. Zoom, MS Teams)
  • Results-oriented with superior skills in organization, planning, and attention to details
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Flexible and collaborative work style with a strong service mentality
