Position Overview:

The Director of Human Resources is a strategic leader responsible for directing and managing the Human Resource Management function at Neighborhood Family Practice. This pivotal role ensures the alignment of the organization's workforce with its mission, values, and strategic objectives, particularly during periods of rapid growth. The Director will develop and implement comprehensive HR strategies, policies, and programs to support and enhance the organizational culture and performance.

Key Deliverables:

  • Lead and manage the HR department, including staff selection, training, coaching, and performance monitoring.
  • Develop and execute HR strategies and initiatives that align with the overall business plan and strategic direction of the organization.
  • Oversee recruitment, hiring, and retention programs to attract and retain top talent.
  • Design and manage comprehensive compensation and benefits programs that are competitive and equitable.
  • Ensure the maintenance and confidentiality of all personnel records and HR information systems, ensuring compliance with data protection laws.
  • Collaborate with the compliance department to ensure adherence to all legal and regulatory HR requirements.
  • Identify organizational training needs, and design and implement employee development programs.
  • Monitor and improve the organization's employee relations climate, proactively addressing and resolving workplace issues.
  • Provide guidance to managers on coaching, mentoring, and counseling practices.
  • Develop and implement effective internal communication programs to foster employee engagement and a positive work environment.
  • Stay abreast of HR best practices and legal updates, integrating innovative solutions to enhance HR services and organizational effectiveness.
  • Serve as a key member of the management team, ensuring HR strategies support organizational goals.


Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
  • Extensive HR management experience, preferably in a healthcare setting.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of employment law, organizational development, employee relations, and compensation and benefits.
  • Proven leadership abilities with strong coaching, team-building, and decision-making skills.
  • High emotional intelligence with a demonstrated ability to influence and drive results.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively at all levels of the organization.
  • Proficiency in HR information systems and data management.


Essential Physical Demands and Working Environment:

  • Primarily office-based with the need for flexibility to attend various meetings and events.
  • Ability to sit, stand, and move within the office environment.
  • May involve lifting materials up to 30 pounds.
  • Requires local travel, with occasional overnight stays. Valid driver's license and insurance required.
