Job description
Cleveland-based manufacturing company is looking for an HR Generalist to lead Payroll, Recruiting, and our time and attendance policy. This is a great opportunity to learn all facets of HR in a fast-paced environment.
Job Summary:
The Human Resource Generalist will run the daily functions of payroll, recruiting, and employee relations including hiring and interviewing staff, administering pay, and monitoring the time and attendance policy.
Duties/Responsibilities:
· Payroll: Performs daily tasks required to administer and execute payroll.
· Recruits and interviews: Qualified job applicants for open positions; collaborates with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.
· Owning the time and attendance policy: Keeping track of employee points and facilitating disaplinary actions and write-ups when necessary.
· Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
· Knowledge and experience running payroll software, preferably PAYCOM
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
· Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
· Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
· Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
· Ability to prioritize tasks and delegate them when appropriate.
· Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
· Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.
· Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
· Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organizations HRIS and talent management systems.
Education and Experience:
· Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field preferred.
