We are looking for a highly motivated business development and management professional to oversee the growth and development of Giants Enterprises’ flagship fitness event, The San Francisco Giant Race. The Business Development Manager, Giant Race, will analyze the existing model and determine innovative and exciting ways to enhance the brand and bring new, cutting-edge live and hybrid opportunities to our participants, fans, and partners. This role will also be tasked with creating opportunities and ensuring alignment within the organization relative to health and fitness-specific initiatives, both existing and new.

You’re Excited About This Opportunity Because you will…

  • Create a long-term vision for the Giant Race property that focuses on the Race and other potential health and wellness programming initiatives.
  • Pursue new opportunities for growth and use the Giant Race as a vehicle to attract new associated and non-associated revenue sources.
  • Elevate Giant Race brand identity and assist with the creation of new event elements.
  • Vet all viable development opportunities – including live, virtual, and hybrid programming.
  • Oversee all financial development, sponsor/partner management, strategic alliances, marketing, and media initiatives for the Giant Race.
  • Collaborate with the leadership team regarding the implementation of new business, clients, projects, or partners.
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities for Giants Enterprises and Oracle Park within the health, wellness, and fitness sector.
  • Ensure you are on the leading edge of industry trends and attend conferences / trade shows as applicable.

Qualifications:

  • Ideal candidate to have a minimum of 5 years relative experience working within business development, event management, and/or marketing – preferably in the endurance, health and wellness, or fitness industries.
  • Degree in business, marketing, operations, or project management preferred.
  • Ability to work efficiently, entrepreneurially, and independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proven organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and effectively communicate multiple ongoing projects without missing details.
  • Effective interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate comfortably and professionally.
  • Willingness to learn and should be able to flourish in a high growth, dynamic, entrepreneurial environment.
  • Positive attitude, quick learning ability, good listening skills, commitment to excellence, and an “out of the box” thinker.

We’re Excited About You Because…

  • You are detailed oriented and have good follow up.
  • You have a keen sense of ownership, drive, and willingness to see things through.
  • You are a self-starter looking to grow your skill set and career.
  • You have great communication skills.
