Title: Business Development Manager, North America

Location: San Francisco / Bay Area

Amity is a fast growing scaleup headquartered in London and Bangkok. We offer a suite of pre-built modules that can be easily integrated to any app or website to increase user engagement and build communities: chat, comments, activity feed, user profiles, video stories and more. Thanks to our technology, hundreds of companies worldwide can make their apps more engaging and decrease their reliance on third-parties social networks by operating their own curated digital communities.

Since our founding in 2020, we went from 15 to 100 employees across four offices - London, Bangkok, Milan and Jakarta - and we raised over $20M backed by leading venture capitals.

We bet you never heard of pre-build social APIs and SDKs before? In fact, this is a very new technology and, while the demand for our product is growing every day, many people out there haven’t heard about it yet. That’s exactly the problem that we’ll need you to help solve!

We are seeking an ambitious, passionate and results-driven professional who is willing to embarque in a new exciting challenge: help us drive awareness of Amity’s product in North America, accelerate our expansion in the region and grow our customers portfolio!

Reporting to our Co-founder & COO, in this role you will be responsible for shaping our regional business development strategy.

You Will…

  • Be among Amity’s first employees in North America, and play a key role in driving brand awareness in the region and shaping our expansion strategy;
  • Be accountable for the growth of the business in North America and for delivering the expected results in terms of revenues and no. of new opportunities;
  • Proactively identify and generate new leads and sales opportunities via an array of different channels (partnerships, events, cold-emails, social media and more);
  • Collaborate with the demand generation teams in developing and executing a series of initiatives to increase the awareness of Amity and our product in the region;
  • Develop a deep understanding of Amity’s product and customer needs and goals, to design an effective growth strategy tailored to North America;
  • Be the point of contact and trusted advisor of all Amity’s customers and prospective customers in North America, and support
  • Build and maintain a network of local partners that can be leveraged to accelerate business growth;
  • Stay up-to-date on industry trends and competitor activities to inform sales strategy;
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key industry leaders and potential partners;
  • Become Amity’s face in the region, represent the company at industry events and conferences and invest in positioning yourself as a thought leader in the space.
  • Based on regional revenue growth, be responsible for hiring, coaching and leading by example a team of junior business development / sales professionals;

You Have…

  • Minimum 5 of experience in business development, partnerships and/or project management in the technology industry, preferable in a fast-paced environment;
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to manage complex partnerships and commercial negotiations with minimal supervision;
  • An established network of local connections in the technology industry;
  • A passion for technology and ability to evangelise new product with an array of different stakeholders;
  • A desire to learn about Amity’s product and become an ambassador for the company in the region
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, a desire to coach a young and ambitious international team;
  • Tremendous attention to detail and focus on driving measurable results;
  • Can do attitude and ability to think laterally and explore creative solutions to accelerate Amity’s growth in North America;
  • High energy, natural curiosity and desire to make an impact.
