Description
SFHS is always seeking qualified educators who would like to remain in our database for when an open position may become available.
On-call substitute teachers fill the role of classroom teacher as needed following these guidelines:

• Follow lesson plans provided by the regular teacher to create a cohesive and consistent learning experience for students
• Manage the classroom effectively to encourage student participation, minimize distractions and maintain a positive learning environment
• Adapt teaching methods to fit the needs of each individual student
• Supervise students in and out of the classroom as needed
• Provide in-class and at-home assignments based on the available lesson plan

Qualifications
SKILLS

• Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing
• Proven ability to report to work on a regular and punctual basis
• Knowledge and implementation of relevant technology for classroom instruction and student learning
• Ability to work collaboratively

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Must be able to operate classroom technology
• Work requires visual acuity
• Must be able to focus on highly detailed tasks for long periods of time
• Must be able to sit for extended periods of time
