Minnesota Jewish Community Center is Hiring a Director of Human Resources Near Saint Paul, MN

The Director of Human Resources is responsible for coordinating and executing the human resource functions of the MN JCC to ensure compliance with all state and federal laws. This position involves collaborating with leadership and employees to ensure a positive work environment, compliance with HR policies and procedures, and the overall well-being of our team. They oversee all aspects of Human Resources including talent acquisition, compensation strategy, and retention. The Director of Human Resources serves as a key leader in developing and cultivating the JCC organizational culture and ensuring all leaders are equipped to model our cultural expectations.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Support the organization’s HR functions, including but not limited to:
  • Employee relations
  • Policies and procedures
  • Recruitment, hiring, onboarding new hires, and terminations
  • Employee record keeping and maintaining personnel files
  • Support managers in preparing and implementing performance improvement plans
  • Address employee concerns; coordinate investigations as needed
  • Support Payroll Specialist with semi-monthly payroll process
  • Coordinate year-end reporting (W-2 and 1095)
  • Manage and process 403b retirement plan and Employee Health Benefits
  • Bachelor's degree in human resources or related field
  • 5 years of professional experience in human resources
  • Ability to maintain the integrity and security of all confidential information, documents, and files
  • Knowledge of Jewish culture and traditions
  • Commitment to equity, diversity, environmental stewardship, and social justice
