Minnesota Jewish Community Center is Hiring a Human Resources Specialist Near Saint Paul, MN

POSITION SUMMARY

The Human Resources Specialist is responsible for coordinating and executing the human resource functions of the MN JCC to ensure compliance with all state and federal laws. This position involves collaborating with leadership and employees to ensure a positive work environment, compliance with HR policies and procedures, and the overall well-being of our team.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Support the organization’s HR functions, including but not limited to:
  • Employee relations
  • Policies and procedures
  • Recruitment, hiring, onboarding new hires, and terminations.
  • Employee record keeping and maintaining personnel files.
  • Support managers in preparing and implementing performance improvement plans.
  • Address employee concerns; coordinate investigations as needed.
  • Support Payroll Specialist with semi-monthly payroll process.
  • Coordinate year-end reporting (W-2 and 1095)
  • Manage and process 403b retirement plan.

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources or related field preferred
  • 1 years of professional experience in human resources
  • Ability to maintain the integrity and security of all confidential information, documents and files.
  • Knowledge of Jewish culture and traditions
  • Commitment to equity, diversity, environmental stewardship, and social justice

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proven attention to detail, time management and problem-solving skills

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to verbally communicate with others. In the office setting, this is primarily a sedentary role, which requires the employee to sit at a desk for consecutive hours at a time using a computer or other office equipment. Additional physical requirements include occasional bending, crouching, reaching and lifting.

Pay: $21.63 - $24.03 per hour
