Position Overview:
As the Assistant Director of Human Resources, you will play a crucial role in supporting and overseeing the overall HR function within The Pierre Hotel. Working closely with the Human Resources Director, you will be responsible for assisting in the development and implementation of HR policies, procedures, and programs to ensure a positive and engaging work environment for our diverse team of hospitality professionals. Specifically, you will collaborate with the HRD to oversee all facets of Human Resources, encompassing labor relations, recruitment, benefits administration, employee training and development, employee relations, absence administration, and legal compliance. This collaborative effort aims to uphold the highest standards in HR practices and contribute to the success and well-being or our valued team members.

Qualifications & Skills:
Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field.
Minimum (5 ) yeas progressive HR experience, Union hotel experience preferable.
Ability to effectively communicate complex HR concepts to a diverse audience.
Strong knowledge of employment laws and regulations.
SHRM-CP or PHR certification is a plus.
Basic payroll and benefit administration knowledge required.
Computer proficiency in MS Office, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel; prior experience with HRIS and Applicant Tracking Systems is essential.
Must possess the ability to coordinate multiple tasks in a fast-paced work environment, strong detail focus, and organizational skills are required.
Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.

Please note this position is based in NYC and is expected to adhere to a 5-day/week, in-office work schedule.
The target starting annual salary for this role is $95,000 to $115,000 per year at the commencement of employment. Pay will be determined on an individualized basis, commensurate with experience.
