Job Summary:

Howard Energy Partners (HEP) is a rapidly growing midstream energy company. We are looking for a Human Resources intern to join our team from June to August. The ideal candidate will be enrolled in an undergraduate degree program in Human Resources, Business, or other similar field of study and have an interest in working full-time in HR in the future. The intern will work with the entire HR Department providing support with projects, recruiting, onboarding, employee benefits, employee relations, training and development, etc.

Objectives:

Gain experience in multiple areas of Human Resources by supporting the day-to-day functions related to all phases of the employee life cycle from recruiting to terminations. The intern will also complete a capstone project and have an opportunity to present their project to the HEP Leadership Team.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Assist with processing HR transactions including new hire paperwork, employee benefit elections, separations, and status changes.
• Assist with recruiting and onboarding efforts by reviewing resumes, creating job postings, conducting phone screens, participating in interviews, assisting with new hire orientations, job fair preparation, and creating content for social media posts.
• Help schedule and maintain random drug testing program.
• Provide support with training and development initiatives.
• Support Wellness Committee with planning and execution of various activities.
• Interact and communicate with individuals at all levels of the organization.
• Maintain confidential employee information and personnel files.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
