Salary: $55,000 - $70,000

Responsibilities 

• Plan, direct, and coordinate the accounts payable, procurement, and insurance group within the accounting team.
• Ensure compliance and accuracy for all accounts payables functions within the Finance Office, including vendor approval, documentation, and database management; weekly check run process; and credit card management
• Responsible for the full payables cycle, including invoice processing, monthly and annual accruals, prepaid and inventory reconciliation; and 1099 process.
• Participate and provide a level of oversight in contract review process and insurance application process.
• Work closely with the Assistant Controller and the Manager of Financial Planning & Analysis on treasury and budgetary items.
• Provide customer service within the department and across the organization on matters of payables, procurement, and insurance. 
• Manage the Accounts Payable Specialist and Procurement & Insurance Specialist, including develop job content, supervise daily activities, and provide performance and career guidance.

Required Skills

• Ability to work effectively with minimum supervision.
• Possesses strong interpersonal skills.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks, work effectively under pressure, and remain organized.
• Knowledge of basic accrual accounting principles and practices, as well as financial principles and concepts.
• Computer proficiency, with experience in all Microsoft Office products.
• Knowledge of general ledger software packages and database experience a plus.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Educations and/or Experience

High school diploma or GED with 3-5 years of related experience, or bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or other mathematical discipline with 1-2 years of related experience.

This position will most likely have an office with no windows. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
