Job Description
Position Title: Human Resources Clerk
Position Type: Salaried $25,093 annual BOA Step 12 / Non-Exempt
Position Hours: Full-time; Monday – Friday; 40 Hours per Week
Length of Term/Employment: 220 days / At-will
Reports to: Human Resources Director and Human Resources Manager

Position Mission: Provide general office support with a variety of clerical activities and related tasks. Handle confidential information and frequent contacts with all levels of district employees, outside agencies and the general public.

Position Minimum Qualifications:
  • High School diploma or GED preferred.
  • Must be able to communicate in English, Bilingual preferred but not required.
  • Proficient keyboarding, word processing, and file maintenance skills.
  • Knowledge of school district organization, operations, and administrative policies.
  • Excellent verbal communication and attention to detail.
  • Ability to use personal computer and software to develop spreadsheets, databases, and do word processing.
  • Believes fully in the mission and vision of Jubilee Academies.
Experience:
  • Secretarial experience with extensive contact with people.
  • 3-5 years of HR experience, preferred.
  • 3-5 years of customer service experience.
Job Duties:
  • Record information and maintain confidentiality.
  • Receive and route incoming calls, take accurate messages and direct to appropriate staff.
  • Prepare purchase requisitions, order supplies and maintain inventory.
  • Sort and disperse mail, messages and other documents.
  • Discipline yourself by being regular in attendance and on time.
  • Occasional coverage of the front desk.
  • Maintain security by following procedures and monitoring logbook.
  • Welcome all guests, employees and potential employees.
  • Coordinates meetings, reserves conference rooms, and creates calendar invites.
  • Sends and receives faxes for office as needed.
  • Assist with the request of subs from SOS; reconcile the SOS Logbook jobs monthly.
  • Assist with documentation emailed to Accounts Payable.
  • Assist with setting up vendors.
  • Monitor and maintain job postings on all recruiting platforms.
  • Assist with job fair events.
  • Assist all inquiring candidates regarding job opportunities.
  • Other duties may be assigned by HR Manager as needed.
Communication:
  • Maintain a professional relationship with colleagues.
  • Use effective communication skills to present information accurately and clearly.
Charter & Community Responsibilities:
  • Convey the charter’s mission to the public and encourage support in accomplishing the mission.
  • Illustrate understanding of Charter and community needs and begin activities to meet those needs.
  • Demonstrate use of productive and efficient skills to raise community and parent involvement.
  • Actively participate in student recruitment efforts.

  • Encourage aa constructive, thoughtful climate for learning.
  • Promote fairness of students and staff from all cultural backgrounds.
  • Communicate with students and staff in an effective manner that promotes and sustains the Jubilee culture.
Working Conditions:
  • Maintain emotional control under stress.
  • Work with frequent interruptions.
  • Occasional prolonged and irregular hours.
  • Some stooping, bending, pulling and pushing required.
  • While performing the duties of this position, the incumbent is regularly required to talk and hear.
