Position Summary: As a crucial member of our Human Resource Team, the Vice President of Human Resources is responsible for the strategic development and implementation of Human Resources strategy, policies, and programs across this national organization. This role requires a seasoned HR professional with demonstrated experience in compensation and benefits management, as well as a strong understanding of tactical operations.
The ideal candidate is an excellent leader with an entrepreneurial and collaborative working style, has experience working in an organization with multiple locations and remote employees, and possesses a keen ability to adapt. Responsibilities & Key Functions:
Compensation & Benefits

  • Research and Evaluate Comprehensive Benefits Programs: Conduct thorough research on industry best practices and emerging trends in benefits programs. Evaluate various benefit options based on factors such as cost-effectiveness, employee needs, and market competitiveness. Develop innovative benefit plan designs tailored to Airrosti's unique culture and workforce demographics.
  • Prepare compelling proposals outlining recommended benefit plans and designs. Present proposals to Airrosti leadership with clear explanations of the rationale behind each recommendation, highlighting how the proposed benefits align with the organization's goals of attracting, motivating, and retaining top talent.
  • Effective Communication of Compensation and Benefits: Develop strategic communication plans to ensure all Airrosti employees are well-informed about their benefits packages.
  • In-depth Understanding of Compensation Programs: Dive deep into understanding the intricacies of Airrosti's compensation programs, particularly the ACP and CRS programs. Collaborate closely with the Accounting Team to implement necessary changes, and assess the viability of new compensation proposals.
  • Conduct regular training sessions to ensure department leaders are well-equipped to effectively communicate and implement compensation-related guidelines within their respective teams.
  • Serve as a reliable backup for payroll and benefits processing, stepping in as needed to ensure seamless operations.
  • Collaborate with finance and executive teams to conduct regular market research and benchmarking to ensure the compensation and benefits offered remain competitive.
  • Assess the administration of health insurance, retirement savings plans (e.g., 401(k)), and other employee benefits programs, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and best practices.

  • Implement innovative strategies for talent development, retention, and succession planning to cultivate a high-performing workforce.
  • Possess a passion for personal and professional development with a commitment to continuous improvement.
  • Oversee performance management programs and identify and implement ongoing and relevant professional development resources and measurements.
  • Exceptional public speaking and presentation skills, with the ability to develop leadership training and the capability to engage and inspire employees.

  • Provide knowledgeable coaching to leaders and employees throughout the organization; find workable solutions to complex issues.

  • Uphold high ethical standards and integrity in all interactions, demonstrating a commitment to fairness, consistency, and transparency.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration or related field, master's degree preferred. Relevant certifications (SPHR, PHR preferred).
  • Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in HR leadership roles, with a track record of driving organizational development.
  • Desire and ability to roll up sleeves and engage at the strategic, analytical, and tactical levels.
  • Ability to work with sensitive information and maintain confidentiality.
  • Ability to facilitate difficult conversations and communicate with transparency while maintaining trusting relationships.
  • Proven ability to set a forward-thinking HR vision for the organization and develop an action plan within a high-growth, fast-moving environment.• * Proficient in Excel, HRIS systems, payroll systems, and other technology solutions.
  • Functional knowledge of HR practices, employee relations, investigations, process improvement, business transformation, performance management, benefits administration, and compensation/total rewards.
  • Strong organizational skills, with a demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and priorities effectively.
  • High emotional intelligence with the ability to empathize with others, build rapport, and navigate complex interpersonal dynamics.
