What you’ll be doing.

Job Summary:

The Accounts Payable (AP) Specialist is a key member of the AP team and is responsible for ensuring compliance with spend controls by reviewing spend requests against forecast/budgets, processing all vendor payments, expense reports, credit card payments, check runs and daily cash transfers. This position supports all payables related activities of the department including matching of invoices, G/L account code distribution, compliance and maintenance of 1099 reporting, vendor maintenance, monthly financial close, and year-end audit. This is a hybrid role out of the San Diego office that will require working in office at least 3 days per week.

Requirements:

• 8 years of experience in Accounting/Finance.

• Solid analysis and problem-solving skills; ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
• Excellent business acumen skills including the ability to communicate with senior leadership, while anticipating questions or concerns as they arise.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to flexibly work independently and within a team environment with changing priorities.
• Solid interpersonal, team, and customer service skills.
• Ability to multi-task, organize, meet deadlines in time-sensitive circumstances.

• Must possess a positive attitude, strong work ethic, and attention to detail to ensure accuracy of work.

Preferred:

• Strong experience using Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Access, Word, Outlook) and 10-key touch.
• Experience with SAP or other large, automated accounting systems.

Pay Range: $70,000 - $85,000

Where you’ll be doing it.

This is a hybrid role based out of our San Diego, CA office. As a hybrid role, you will be working onsite 2-3 days a week and working from home 2-3 days a week.

When you’ll be doing it.

While there is some flexibility in the hours, this position will be Monday-Friday during regular business hours (approximately 8:00am-5:00pm). Occasional overtime may be required according to business need.
