Job Summary
Campland on the Bay and Mission Bay RV Resort are full-service, destination RV and tent camping resorts. Located in the Pacific Beach neighborhood of San Diego, Campland occupies 40 prime acres on Mission Bay just east of Crown Point. Mission Bay RV Resort occupies 20 acres on Mission Bay on the east side of Rose Creek. We seek a full-time accounts payable/general cashier to expedite payments to vendors, administrate daily deposits, provide currency change and petty cash disbursements, maintain house banks, perform employee bank audits, order office supplies and other tasks as directed. Responsibilities and Duties
- Code and voucher A/P invoices timely, accurately and efficiently ensuring invoices are approved and paid on or before due dates, assist managers with invoices.
- Maintain a monthly recurring vendor list to ensure all vendors are paid on time and accounting manager receives accurate report on or before the deadline.
- Review general ledger, prepare journal entries for discrepancies.
- Accurate cash handling: disburse petty cash, prepare daily deposits for armored pickup, issue house banks as well as audit them at least twice a year, provide currency change for cash banks, ensure cash is always accounted for.
- Month-end reporting.
- Pick up accounting paperwork and deposits from Mission Bay RV Resort.
- Order office supplies for accounting department.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- At least two years of office and cash-handling experience as described in the responsibilities and duties section
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Knowledge of A/P principals, proficient 10-key, intermediate Excel, basic Word and Outlook
- Able to refocus on tasking through frequent interruptions
- Organized and detail-oriented
- Patient
- Willingness and ability to interact with co-workers as well as train them on company cash-handling and credit receipt deposit procedures
- Able to go up and down stairs
Desired Qualifications and Skills
- Associates' degree in accounting, finance or similar
- Bookkeeping experience
- Experience with Avid Exchange
