The Talent Development Specialist will support all aspects of the legal talent department’s training programs and initiatives, including professional development programs for Attorneys and Business Professionals, Global Orientation and onboarding. Job Description ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Assists with Administration of the Firms online learning center (DLC). Responds to requests from clients, acting as point of contract for all inquiries including DLC system access and reporting; determines other IT and vendor assistance as required. Works with Associate Director of Talent Development & Onboarding to curate professional development curricula including e-learning and blended learning content, in professional development offering. Responds to requests for training compliance audits and reporting. Prioritizes and organizes own work to manage all logistics and meet deadlines for training programs across the Firm. Duties include: Full international travel program logistics and expense management, budget management, event management including catering, program materials, liaising with the Client Events Team, liaising with the Audio/Visual team, and coordinating with external consultants and partner faculty, including preparation and negotiation of all engagement letters Post program documentation and reporting, evaluations and analysis. Supports the Associate Director of Talent Development & Onboarding with lateral and business service professional onboarding. Supports the Associate Director of Talent Development & Onboarding with all aspects of Attorney and Business Professional training programs worldwide. Drafts and distributes program invitations, communications and materials for professional development programming. Maintains attendance roster and ensures other program requirements are properly executed and maintained. Creates and develops reporting on program attendance and other metrics concerning professional development programs; using this information to expand fundamental knowledge, broaden skills and anticipate future business needs. Acts as a resource for other members of the Professional Development Department. At the direction of the Associate Director of Talent Development & Onboarding works on oversight of all aspects of Global Orientation including program schedule, communication with presenters, and First Year Associates, managing materials needed, event planning, audio/visual needs conduct program feedback. Supports the Associate Director of Talent Development & Onboarding and the Global Director of Professional Development in creating content and managing logistics for training programs, Global Quarterly Meetings, Partner Leadership Development Program and Global Orientation. May assist with other projects and processes related to other projects and processes in legal talent. QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s degree or higher. At least two years of experience in an administrative role. Experience working in mid-size to large law firm or office preferred. Detailed-oriented. Capable of working within deadlines. Ability to prioritize own work and the work of others to meet strict deadlines. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Ability to communicate in a professional and diplomatic manner. Good grammar, vocabulary and reading comprehension. Highly analytical. Ability to problem solve and be forward thinking. Ability to juggle multiple tasks. Organized. Team player. Outgoing personality. Highly proficient in MS Word, Excel, database and learning management systems.
