Job Title: Director of Business Development

Department: Sales

FLSA Status: Exempt

Location: Remote (if the candidate is based in a market in which BEST has an established corporate office, the position will be hybrid with a combination of working remotely and from the office as agreed upon with their supervisor)

Reports To: Senior Director of Business Development


Job Summary:

BEST Crowd Management is seeking an experienced Director of Business Development to assist in growing our long-term client base in the United States through prospecting, cold outreach, utilizing existing industry contacts and generating sales proposals and presentations. This position will be remote with the candidate ideally located in a city with a BEST regional office.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Analyze upcoming events in our existing client markets to determine new business opportunities and pursue accordingly.

  • Create customized proposals for current and prospective customers by researching and responding to RFP’s.
  • Maintain growth year over year with new and reoccurring client accounts.
  • Work with internal account managers in local markets throughout the country before, during and after the event to understand resources and manage key client relationships.
  • Work in conjunction with Senior Director of Business Development on leads, projects, proposals, and other tasks as assigned.
  • Responsible for providing support to the Sales and Operations Teams on large business development opportunities.
  • Maintain supply of sales presentation materials and assume ownership of updating and improving as needed.
  • Answer prospective client questions regarding the company’s service options and personalize service offerings to meet the needs of the client
  • Enter and maintain client information in Microsoft Dynamics (CRM) on a regular basis.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as requested or required.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sport Management or related field
  • Minimum of eight (8) years of sales and/or business development experience
  • Minimum of eight (8) years of experience in the events, live entertainment and/or professional sports industry
  • In depth understanding of Event and Security Staffing for live events of all sizes
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and presentation capabilities
  • Team player with a positive attitude who welcomes collaboration while able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong ability to problem-solve and find new ways to create value and increase company profitability.
  • Willingness to learn and grow within BEST Crowd Management
  • Previous experience with CRM system (Dynamics) preferred.
  • To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.   • Travel is required (Approximately 20%)
  • Ability to pass a background check
Physical and Mental Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, it is required to frequently sit, stand, walk, talk or hear. Required to stand or walk for extended periods of time (up to 10 hours). On occasion, may be required to climb and work in high places, stoop, bend or reach above the shoulders. Position may also require working in confined spaces and exposure to different types of outdoor weather conditions.

Must occasionally lift, push, or pull up to 45 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
