UCLA is Hiring a Director of Operations Near Los Angeles, CA

As a member of the Herb Alpert School of Music staff management team reporting to the Associate Dean of Finance and Administration, incumbent provides direct assistance in building and theater operations. Manages all building operations for the Schoenberg Music Building and the Ostin Music Center, which house the UCLA Herb Alpert School of Music, its three departments and two IDP(Ethnomusicology, Global Jazz, Music, Musicology, and Music Industry), the Herbie Hancock Institute of Jazz Performance, and the UCLA Music Library. Coordinates major renovation and facilities projects, representing the School with relevant campus units. Oversees routine maintenance, repairs and minor renovations. Researches and analyzes program, equipment and infrastructure requirements and develops project planning guides for major capital improvements. Manages space utilization and planning; maintains current space inventory. Serves as emergency coordinator for the School, ensuring emergency preparedness. Serves as primary resource on agency agreements; assists in negotiating terms and conditions; reviews performance and rental agreements for adherence to University policies and procedures; coordinates annual insurance review. Manages extensive musical instrument and equipment inventory and all rental activities. Participates in the Program Review Group and represents the School on the Campus Facilities Coordinator Committee, attending regular and ad hoc meetings as required. Coordinates the School's commencement activities. Provides leadership for School's special projects and programs; researches and provides analyses for initiatives and projects.
