Located in the heart of San Francisco’s Fisherman’s Wharf, Argonaut Hotel exudes the true essence of a boutique hotel and features breathtaking views of the Golden Gate Bridge and Alcatraz Island. This luxury hotel is set within the historic Haslett Warehouse, a grand building built in 1907 of exposed brick, Douglas Fir beams and so much seaside character; you feel as though you can almost reach out and touch the colorful Barbary Coast past. With its exceptional service, charming, iconic style and the adjacent family-friendly Blue Mermaid Restaurant & Bar, Argonaut Hotel is an ideal spot to base your San Francisco adventures.

A DAY IN THE LIFE...

We are seeking for a talented Executive Sous Chef who will assist the Executive Chef run the day-to-day culinary operation of the Hotel. Responsible for all aspects of managing the Kitchen and Kitchen personnel, payroll, team member's training, quality preparation of all menu items and proper handling/ storage of all food items in accordance with standards. Coordinates the purchase of all food maintaining approved food costs and labor costs for both the restaurant and banquets experience in a four star hotel property or above.

YOU OWN THIS IF YOU HAVE...

  • Minimum 3 years previous experience in multiple culinary/Food & Beverage department head positions
  • College degree preferably specializing in hotel/restaurant management or culinary arts, or equivalent experience is required.
  • Good command of spoken and written English/Spanish a plus
  • Strong leadership, planning and communication skills
  • Must have valid ServSafe Manager Certification
