About the Office of Human Resources

Under the leadership of the Director, the staff of the Office of Human Resources (OHR) work together to achieve great things for the more than 10,000 employees of the County. Our divisions include Recruitment and Selection, Training and Organizational Development, Health Insurance and Welfare, EEO Compliance and Diversity Management, IT, Business Operations, Administrative Services, Occupational Medical Services, and Records Management.

About the Position:

The Office of Human Resources Recruitment & Selection Division is seeking to fill an Administrative Specialist II vacancy to work as a Recruitment Coordinator.

The Recruitment Coordinator will work closely with the Chief of Talent Acquisition to coordinate the administrative workflow to provide the highest level of support and assistance to internal staff and external job candidates throughout the recruitment lifecycle. The selected applicant will also provide general assistance on various HR-related projects and tasks. The ideal candidate will be service-oriented with strong communication and interpersonal skills and have the capacity to manage multiple priorities.

Some of ways you will support the Recruitment team:

  • Provide guidance and technical support to candidates during the application process
  • Work with candidates to complete pre-job offer requirements (schedule physicals, verify educational credentials, etc.)
  • Coordinate onboarding for new hires and communicating orientation information
  • Assist with completing I-9 verifications for new hires
  • Organize and manage new hire forms and documents
  • Research candidate sourcing events and programs
  • Attend and provide administrative support for internal and external recruiting events
  • Provide on-site, phone and online HR recruitment support to applicants and the general public
  • Facilitate and manage the Temporary Administrative Professional Services contract
  • Assist with onboarding, hiring feedback and exit surveys with our business partners
  • Assist with the preparation and review of internal wage equity analyses
  • Work with Recruitment Team to manage County internship program
  • Liaise with OHR Records Section and other agencies to provide or receive information for new employees
  • Liaise with OHR Records on Recruitment related administrative tasks (i.e., I-9 recertifications/Employee Records or recruitment related documents from other departments)
  • Collect and report data on recruitment program processing
  • Organizing and Archiving SharePoint and TEAMS files and Information
  • Website and social media Administrative Updates/Changes

Montgomery County Ethics Law : Except as provided by law or regulation, the County's "Public Employees" (which does not include employees of the Sheriff's office) are subject to the County's ethics law including the requirements to obtain advanced approval of any outside employment and the prohibitions on certain outside employment. Minimum Qualifications

EDUCATION: Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's Degree.

EXPERIENCE: Two (2) years of professional administrative experience in recruitment coordination and/or providing human resources support.

Substitutions:

1. EDUCATION for EXPERIENCE: Additional education will substitute for the required experience on a year-for-year basis.

2. EXPERIENCE for EDUCATION: Additional administrative, business, research and/or clerical experience will substitute for the required education on a year-for year basis
