About the Position:
The Office of Racial Equity and Social Justice (ORE) is seeking to fill a Performance Management and Data Analyst II position. The Performance Management and Data Analyst II will be a part of a collaborative, horizontal, and intersectional team, helping to embed racial equity and social justice into the decision-making process. As a Performance Management and Data Analyst II, you will facilitate the County’s commitment and strategy to be a racially equitable organization that develops, implements, and measures policies and practices. In addition, by measuring, tracking, and analyzing the effectiveness of racial equity initiatives, the employee will identify opportunities for new focus areas.
Performance management and Data Analyst II duties include but are not limited to:
Assist in collecting and analyzing data to inform strategies, policies, and programs that better incorporate racial equity throughout the County.
Who We Are Seeking:
To ensure a positive workplace and compliance with federal, state, and county laws, the incumbent must complete mandatory training within the first three to six months or within the specified timeframe.

Montgomery County Ethics Law: Except as provided by law or regulation, the County's "Public Employees" (which does not include employees of the Sheriff's office) are subject to the County's ethics law including the requirements to obtain advanced approval of any outside employment and the prohibitions on certain outside employment. Experience: Three (3) years of professional experience performing data analysis and interpretation, program evaluation, and/or process improvement in an academic, data administration or business data analytics environment.
Education: Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science, Operations Research, Business Administration, Economics, Public Administration, Public Policy, Management,
Finance, Statistics, Engineering or related field.
Equivalency: (1) An equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted. (2) Possession of a graduate degree in one of the above fields may be substituted for one year of the required experience.
