Human Resource Coordinator Description

Job Summary: The HR Generalist plays a vital role in safe and cohesive operation of our company. You will be the “go to” person for questions about employee’s paychecks and benefits. You will be the “go to” person for HR data and reports needed by managers and executives. You will be the “right-hand” person for the HR Manager and will assist them with special projects.

What you will do:

Recruiting & Staffing:

• Maintain Requisitions in ATS (assist hiring managers)
• Conduct initial phone screening of applicants
• Conduct background/credit checks for potential new hires
• Respond to Verification of Employment requests

HRIS/Payroll system:

• Process New Hires and Terminations
• Maintain employee data (contact info, jobs, dept assignments, etc)
• Maintain employee payroll data (earnings, deductions, direct deposits, tax elections, etc)
• Create reports as requested by HR Manager and/or Executive Team

Other Duties As Assigned

• Order employee Business Cards
• Maintain Employee Assets inventory
• Register employees with CCS & DISA, monitor drug test renewals

Assist with General HR matters:

• Assists in compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations
• Assist in development and implementation of company policies
• Assist HR Manager with special projects
• Assist HR Manager with Drug Testing Program

HR Coordinator Qualifications

What you bring:

• A sincere desire to help people
• Excellent Organizational Skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Spanish language skills for the workplace REQUIRED
• Excellent time management skills
• Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and related software
• Ability to travel in and out of Indiana, including overnight stays
• 4-year degree PREFERED
• At least 2 years of HR experience PREFERED
• SHRM-CP and/or PHR PREFERED
• Be able to work at a desk for 2 hours (stand up desks available)
• Be able to operate office equipment such as computers, printers, phones
