You will help oversee all Team Member Service’s functions.As the Team Member Services (HR) Generalist you will:Respond to inquiries regarding policies and procedures.Handle team member/manager concerns/questions regarding benefits, payroll, vacation/sick time, leaves of absence, & administrative/clerical duties related to Team Member Services administration.Assist in ensuring compliance with employment laws, government agencies, and company policies and procedure (e.g. Occupational Safety and Health Act., Equal Employment Opportunity, Wage and Hour, Affirmative Action, employee records administration, etc.). Conduct annual HR compliance/standards self-audit.Oversee the maintenance of accurate and up-to-date personnel files on all employees.Oversee and facilitate training initiatives such as New Hire Orientation, Certified Field Trainers (CFT) program and works with Corporate L&D team to move forward L&D initiatives.Oversee J1 program in partnership with TMS Manager. Responsible for building and maintaining relationships with sponsors, agencies, and potential team members. Has extensive knowledge of all federal guidelines for J1 program and ensure compliance is maintained.Assist with leave programs such as FMLA, PLOA, Workers Compensation, etc.Assist in submitting required documentation in response to unemployment claims.Assist in coordinating with Community Outreach Partner on Foundation activities and events.Take lead in Employee Experience initiatives as directed by TMS Manager.Promote teamwork and quality service through daily communication and coordination with other departments.Assist with investigations of team member complaints.Assist with benefits programs such as life, health, dental and disability insurances, vacation, sick leave, leave of absence, team member assistance, and related educational programs.Assist in preparing team member separation notices and related documentation, and conducts exit interviews to determine reasons behind separations.Assist/support the TMS Coordinator in onboarding processes as needed.Assist in the training and development of TMS Coordinator as directed by TMS Manager.Assist Recruiter with hiring fairs when needed.Supporting and developing the Team Member Services Coordinator.QualificationsTo excel in this role, you must embody our core values of integrity, passion, and a strong work ethic. These values are essential to our success, and we are looking for someone who shares our commitment.RequirementsIdeal candidate will have 3 years hospitality management experienceMust have experience in disciplinary actions and terminationsKnowledge of applicable state and federal employment lawsFMLA/ADA experience is desiredMinimum of 3 years of previous HR experienceBachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; and three to five years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experienceBilingualStrong written and verbal communications skills with the ability to interact with all levels of team members and guests in an attentive and service-oriented mannerMust be able to lift up to 15 pounds and work in outdoor weather conditionsWestgate Resorts is a Smoke and Tobacco-Free workplace.
