CoCo Key Hotel & Water Park is Hiring a Human Resources Administrator Near Orlando, FL

Job description

CoCo Key Hotel and Water Resort is a family-friendly hotel with 391 spacious guest rooms and a one-of-a-kind 54,000 sq. ft. canopy-covered/outdoor water park located on Orlando's iconic International Drive. Along with exhilarating water slides and refreshing swimming pools, our International Drive hotel is home to a 6,500 sq. ft. arcade, two restaurants, an on-site convenience store, fitness center and more. We have an exciting opportunity to join our team!

Our HR Administrator is a key contributor in developing, supporting and strengthening our work culture involving but not exclusive to recruiting, hiring, on-boarding, and employee records management. Overall, the HR Coordinator/Recruiter creates a positive and seamless experience for all Team Members, with a high level of professionalism.

This role reports to the Director of Human Resources. This is a full-time position with a schedule of Monday – Friday, 8:30am-5:00pm, with flexibility when needed to attend job fairs and other work-related events.

Responsibilities include:

  • Screen and review all incoming resumes and employment applications using various recruiting sources
  • Engage in phone, video, and in-person interviews with all qualified candidates and schedule interviews with department managers
  • Run pre-employment background screening reports and ensure all new hire paperwork is accurately completed
  • Review and create job descriptions as needed
  • Schedule and assist with facilitating new hire orientations
  • Input new hire info into HRIS and manage upkeep of electronic and hard copy files
  • Identify opportunities for improving recruiting and on-boarding processes while staying in compliance with all local, state, and federal laws and company policies and standards
  • Tracks and maintains organizational charts and staffing levels
  • Assigns email, uniforms, nametags, lockers, business cards, and other Associate tools
  • Responds as first line HR support for our Associates and effectively answer questions and escalate to the Director of HR as appropriate
  • Assist in the oversight of Associate engagement activities such as incentive programs and appreciation events
  • All other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Hospitality and/or Human Resources focused with relevant experience, certifications, and/or education
  • Strong computer experience, knowledge of Microsoft Office, and ability to utilize HR software to include ADP and background screening providers
  • Demonstrated confident written and verbal communication skills
  • Exceptional guest service and problem-solving skills
  • Superior organizational skills and ability to multi-task
  • Positive demeanor and outlook
  • Highly confidential and projects a high level of integrity
  • Ability to take initiative, exercise good judgement, and start work without direction
  • Resilient and persistent in a fast paced, changing environment

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
