Overview

SOSi is seeking an entry-level Business Development (BD) Analyst to conduct qualitative and quantitative research in support of the Company’s growth objectives. He/she organizes, manages, and reports critical data to build and maintain a sustainable new business pipeline and assists the Company’s business development leadership with financial and business reporting. The BD analyst must have demonstrated technical skills which allow them to quickly become advanced users in Microsoft Dynamics, SharePoint, Excel, GovWin, CRM, and other tools.

Responsibilities

• Conducting daily searches of government contract databases for new business opportunities and reporting curated findings in daily and weekly reports.
• Tracking follow-up actions on designated opportunities of interest.
• Ensuring the company’s profile is accurate and current in relevant opportunity databases.
• Conducting pipeline financial analysis and preparing reports for executive leadership that address details such as total value, expected value, and schedule.
• Assisting with preparation of BD pipeline review presentations and displaying metrics via dashboards, graphs, and charts.
• Working with capture managers to ensure the company’s opportunity pipeline is updated weekly.
• Working with capture managers and business unit leaders to ensure specific areas of interest and opportunities are addressed.
• Conducting research on known and suspected competitors, potential teammates, and subcontractors.
• Providing support to proposal development, production, and delivery, as needed.
• Assisting BD team members with logistics, scheduling, and other support.
• Performing special projects and other duties, as assigned.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, data engineering, or other similar or related field.
• Demonstrated experience or aptitude for working in a fast paced, federal contracting environment.
• Proficiency in MS Word, SharePoint, Excel, and other MS Office 365 applications.
• Ability to become quickly proficient in other data management and CRM applications such as Power BI, CostPoint, and Microsoft Dynamics.

Preferred Qualifications

• Two years previous experience in Federal Contracting.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance.

Working Conditions

• Work primarily from the office with limited remote working as allowed or necessary.
• Fast paced, deadline-driven environment.
• On call, as needed, to include evenings, weekends, and holidays.
