SchoolJoy is an education management platform and summer/after school program marketplace for K-12 institutions. Student success starts with the whole student, and not just their academics, yet schools today have no way of efficiently tracking their students’ engagement across school clubs, activities, events, and programs. SchoolJoy is a student-friendly platform that gives students simple yet powerful tools to engage with school clubs and programs, and automates the reports school administrators need for reporting and improvement initiatives.

The Role

We’re looking for a great communicator that can build relationships with school administrators, front office staff, and teachers regardless of the sale. This is a part-time remote contractor position where you will capture opportunities via outbound prospecting and develop relationships with potential customers. To succeed in this role you should have previous experience developing leads through marketing campaigns and outbound calls.

Duties & Responsibilities: 

• Generate high-quality leads through outbound prospecting.
• Identify client needs and suggest appropriate products/services.
• Schedule initial discovery & demo meetings with prospects.
• Present various pitches to accurately convey SchoolJoy’s value propositions.
• Report to the Director on a weekly basis about prospecting outcomes.
• Present yourself as an expert in the education technology industry to foster long term relationships with customers.

Required Qualifications: 

• High level of motivation, energy, dedication, and initiative.
• Proven work experience as a Business Development Representative or a similar role.
• Hands on experience with multiple sales techniques.
• Experience with CRM software (Salesforce) and conferencing tools (Zoom).
• Communications and negotiation skills.
• Bachelor’s degree at a 4-year institution.

Compensation

• Base hourly pay.
• Sales commission based on the total contract size of the final sale.
