This role will involve various HR duties, including recruiting, conducting new permanent orientation, updating the employee handbook, and managing employee relations.What you get to do every single day- Responsible for completing various tasks to support the daily operations of the HR department- Create onboarding plans and educate newly hired employees on HR policies, internal procedures, and regulations- Employee relations, involving engaging employees and coordinating sensitive conversations- Create employee engagement plans, including budget approvals and management oversite- Design & /or support a recruitment plan according to operational and business projections- Develop official internal documents such as offer letters, appointment letters, salary adjustments, updates to the employee handbook, leave of absences, and warning/termination letters- Draft templates for HR documents, including the Employee Handbook- Maintain physical and digital files for employees and their documents, including benefits, attendance records, and annual reviews- Compare federal, state, and local laws to current internal policies and procedures- Work with other members of the HR department to manage the hiring and onboarding process for new company employees- Evaluate employee performance, including appraising pay scales, assisting with annual reviews, and coordinating disciplinary action (including terminations if necessary)- Collaborate with employees, upper management, and third-party vendors
