Position: Head/Exec Chef

Location: Rittenhouse Square, Philadelphia

Restaurant Concept: Modern European Cuisine. The restaurant serves a modern twist on European dishes spanning all over Europe. The position is very hands-on as it is a small, mom/pop boutique environment that is seeking for a hybrid role between an Executive and Head Chef. This position welcomes new customers but also has regulars for serivce. Ownership is involved with the creative process while still expecting for creativity from the Chef.

Responsibilities:

• Develop creative menus reflecting modern European dishes for lunch, brunch, dinner, happy hour, and late-night service. 
• Foster a positive work environment by collaborating with the General Manager to ensure harmony between front-of-house and back-of-house teams.
• Oversee kitchen operations, including food preparation, quality control, inventory management, and adherence to regulations.
• Lead, train, and supervise kitchen staff to maintain high standards of excellence.
• Can-do and proactive work ethic.
• Stay on top of culinary trends, experimenting with new techniques and seasonal ingredients, while maintaining true to concept and brand.

Requirements:

• Extensive culinary experience in modern European cuisine.
• Strong leadership and collaboration skills.
• Creativity in menu development and food plating.
• Organizational ability in a fast-paced environment.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role of Exec/Head Chef, including management of people.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in culinary experience.
• Culinary degree or equivalent certification preferred.
• Familiarity with the Philadelphia dining scene.
