Mission Valley Bank is Hiring a Remote Business Development Manager (Remote)

Mission Valley Bank is seeking an experienced professional Business Development Manager whose primary responsibility is to promote and sell our full range of products, lending and deposit services primarily through outbound sales activities. This job develops new business through sales and referrals and superior customer service to create profitable, multi-product relationships with individuals, small businesses and small business management.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Gain complete knowledge of the Accounts Receivable financing program and options in competition.
  • Understand all aspects of pros and cons.
  • Work with MVB marketing as well as Centers of Influence to prospect for new business. Target businesses who would most benefit from BusinessManager and eliminate risky prospects.
  • Create a working relationship with the customers and assist in daily operations.
  • Maintain an 80% or higher lockbox compliance rate for payments, keep reserve status acceptable, under 5% dilution rate and assist with verifications, following up on AVS flags and reporting.
  • Facilitate good communication between the business, the Processor and the Accounts Receivable Finance Manager to further the relationship and maximize the program's value to the business as well as Mission Valley Bank
  • Follow all Bank policies and procedures to ensure compliance with all laws and regulations.
  • Understand and adhere to regulatory guidelines including but not limited to FCRA, BSA, GLBA, etc. as the regulations pertain to the employee's job function.

Basic Requirements

  • Must be able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Poses well-developed decision making and persuasion skills.
  • Excellent written and communication skills, including ability to deal professionally with issues, problems, and questions.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy; good organizational, research and follow-up skills.
  • Must be a team player and be able to interact with all levels of clients, staff, and management and support staff to efficiently close transactions.
  • Requires the ability to exercise independent judgment and employ basic reasoning skills.
  • Ability to work successfully in a deadline driven, team environment.
  • Willingness to learn new skills and work flexible hours.
  • Must be able to travel by car to meet with clients or prospects at their place of business.
  • Proficient in operating personal computer and related software in windows environment (MS Word, Excel, Outlook).

Physical Demands / Work Environment This is primarily a sedentary position that requires extensive computer work. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; sit and use hands to type, reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to walk, stoop, and kneel. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, and ability to adjust focus. In the performance of the duties of this job the employee is required to travel, drive a motor vehicle, and communicate using telephone and e-mail. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
