Malibu Wellness is Hiring a Human Resources Coordinator Near Indianapolis, IN

Malibu Wellness, is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented HR Generalist to join our growing team in Indianapolis, Indiana. That's right, as a team member, you'll directly own a piece of the company, sharing in our wins and shaping our future together.

About the Role:

In this role, you will play a vital role in supporting all aspects of the employee life cycle and fostering a positive work environment. You will wear many hats, handling a variety of administrative tasks and projects that keep our HR department running smoothly.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the recruitment process, including posting jobs, vetting candidates, and coordinating interviews.
  • Conduct background checks.
  • Assist with new hire onboarding, including preparing paperwork, workspace, and IT needs.
  • Communicate with staffing agencies regarding temporary employee needs.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee files.
  • Manage Independent Contractor paperwork and conduct semi-annual audits.
  • Coordinate and track company education and training programs.
  • Track and report incidents/accidents to the General Manager.
  • Maintain the shoe reimbursement tracker.
  • Send out employee birthday and anniversary cards.
  • Manage time off requests in the company calendar.
  • Communicate organization chart changes to the IT department.
  • Order bereavement and illness gifts for employees.
  • Assist with special projects as assigned by supervisors or executives.

Who You Are:

  • Minimum 1-3 years of HR experience.
  • Excellent organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite and HR software a plus.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 10 pounds at times.
