LSG Sky Chefs is Hiring a Human Resources Assistant Near Miami, FL
The HR (Human Resources) Assistant - Compliance manages the organization’s BADGE program. Support with employee health and safety issues, including overseeing and administering safety and health programs following established company policies and applicable legal requirements in coordination with HR and Safety Department.
HR Compliance
- Prepare and submission of BCAD/PBI SIDA & CBP Seal applications (Airport Badges)
- Audit and update SIDA Badges for all MIA employees.
- Assists in the administration and management of Human Resources policies and procedures and/or the Master National Agreement as necessary; ensures compliance with federal and state employment laws; handles employee relations issues and recruiting at the local unit
- Provides advice and counsel to operational management regarding human resources practices, policy and employment laws
- Provide exemplary human resources services to internal and external customers
- Deal with employee requests regarding human resources issues, rules, and regulations
HR Safety
- Assist with updating the SQCDP main board
- Assist with employee injury investigations
- Follow-up with employees to ensure they are adhering to the given medical restrictions
- Follow-up with heads of department to ensure employees on restricted duties are reporting to work as scheduled.
- Communicate with Medical Providers when necessary
- Assist with record upkeep and OSHA reports.
- Assist with the annual reporting of all OSHA recordable cases
Qualifications
•High School Diploma or equivalent
•Proven experience as an HR assistant, staff assistant or relevant human resources/administrative position
•Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
•Basic knowledge of labor laws
•Strong communications skills
•Excellent organizational skills
•Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with large groups- must be flexible-must be able to multitask
•Ability to work with minimal supervision, interact with all levels of management and maintain strict confidentiality
•Strong analytical, verbal, written, interpersonal and organizational skills
•Bilingual English/Spanish required
