Job Details
Job Details:
As a Permanent Senior Sales Engineer, you will be a critical part of our dynamic team, driving the growth of our business by leveraging your engineering knowledge and sales skills. You will be responsible for managing and growing sales within our existing customer base, as well as prospecting and developing new business opportunities. You will play a key role in identifying customer needs, presenting technical solutions, and closing sales deals. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with a diverse range of clients and products in the engineering industry, particularly in the areas of electrical and power distribution.
Responsibilities:
1. Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve corporate goals.
2. Identify and pursue new business opportunities through effective prospecting.
3. Manage and grow sales within the existing customer base by building strong relationships and understanding customer needs.
4. Present technical solutions to customers, demonstrating how our products and services can meet their needs and exceed their expectations.
5. Work closely with the engineering team to ensure that customer requirements are met and solutions are delivered on time.
6. Provide technical support and training to customers, as needed.
7. Prepare and deliver sales presentations, proposals, and contracts.
8. Keep abreast of product developments, market conditions, competitive activities, and industry trends.
9. Provide feedback to the product development team based on customer needs and market trends.
10. Participate in trade shows, conferences, and other marketing events.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in a sales engineer role.
3. Proven track record in sales, with a focus on achieving sales targets and growing business.
4. Strong technical knowledge in the areas of electrical and mechanical engineering, ideally within power distribution or Switchgear.
5. Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly and concisely.
6. Strong customer service skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with customers.
7. Self-motivated and results-driven, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
8. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software.
9. Willingness to travel as required.
10. Professional sales training or certification would be an asset.
