Administrative Assistant

Professional Service Industries, Inc. (Intertek-PSI) is actively seeking an Administrative Assistant to join our Building & Construction team in the New Orleans area at our Jefferson, Louisiana office.

How you'll make an impact at Intertek :

• Creates various documents, spreadsheets, etc. utilizing Microsoft Office software.
• Performs various general office duties, including faxing, copying, mailing, filing, etc.
• Researches a wide variety of information requests.
• May assist with developing, updating, and / or reviewing local operating procedures and / or work instructions.

What it takes to be successful in this role :

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required
• 1 year experience as an administrative assistant is required
• Experience in the construction industry is a plus
• Ability to work onsite Monday - Friday from 8am - 5pm is required
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written is required
• Experience in Microsoft Word and Excel is required
• Excellent prioritization, organization, and time management skills
• Must be detail oriented
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment with shifting priorities
• Ability to analyze and solve problems
• Ability to type quickly and accurately
• Ability to plan, organize, and complete a variety of projects within established standards, objectives, and time frames
