Position: HR Manager
Location: Virginia, USA
Office: Hybrid- 3 days in office
Must be a GC holder/ US Citizen
Overview:
As an HR Manager, you will be at the forefront of fostering a positive employee
experience and ensuring the smooth operation of various HR functions. Your role
encompasses a wide range of responsibilities, from providing comprehensive support to
employees regarding benefits, payroll, and HR policies to managing talent acquisition
and immigration-related processes. Your proactive approach, attention to detail, and
ability to collaborate effectively will be instrumental in the success of our HR
department.
Key Responsibilities:
Employee Support and Consultation:
Provide prompt and accurate assistance to employees on inquiries related to
benefits, compensation, immigration, leave of absence, and HR policies.
Address and resolve employees' questions pertaining to payroll and facilitate
access to payroll-related information.
Onboarding Excellence:
Execute various aspects of the onboarding process, including I-9/E-Verify,
background verifications, and related inquiries from new hires.
Issue employee agreements, offer letters, and verification letters as required.
Collaborate with the offshore HR support team to ensure a seamless
onboarding experience for all employees.
Talent Acquisition:
Take a lead role in talent acquisition by posting job advertisements, screening
candidates, scheduling interviews, and managing the new hire onboarding
process.
Conduct New Employee Orientation sessions to ensure a smooth transition
for new team members.
Immigration Management:
Collaborate with immigration counsel to support various work visa
applications, such as H1B and green card petitions.
Maintain a meticulous checklist and database of immigration-related
processes and applications, ensuring compliance with legal counsel advice.
Work closely with legal counsel to prepare and file immigration-related case
documentation.
Employee Incentive Plans:
Prepare and recommend employee incentive plans to management,
documenting the processes and approvals.
Ensure that incentive plans align with company goals and foster employee
motivation.
Payroll Expertise:
Oversee payroll processing for all employees, including W2 and 1099
classifications, and manage multiple state registrations for withholding
accounts.
Respond to and maintain documentation for audit inquiries related to
immigration and the Department of Labor (DOL).
Benefits Management:
Review employee benefits plans and annual renewals, providing
recommendations to management for annual benefits renewals.
Coordinate the renewal process for health insurance plans, liaising with
management and external consultants as needed.
Vendor Onboarding:
Collaborate with corporate legal counsel to prepare and execute vendor
onboarding contracts.
Monitor and follow up on the onboarding process to ensure timely completion.
Business Insurance and Compliance:
Utilize familiarity and experience with business insurance, including obtaining
Certificates of Insurance (COIs) and completing annual worker's
compensation requirements.
Ensure compliance with all insurance-related obligations and keep abreast of
industry trends.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP certification preferred.
Strong knowledge of HR laws, regulations, and best practices.
Proficiency in HRIS and payroll systems.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
Attention to detail and the ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
