Job Overview:
As an Accounts Payable Specialist, you will be responsible for accurately processing and recording all accounts payable transactions. This is a vital role within our organization, ensuring that all financial obligations are met in a timely and accurate manner.

Responsibilities:
- Process and code invoices, expense reports, and payment requests
- Verify accuracy of invoices and resolve any discrepancies
- Prepare and perform weekly check runs
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve any outstanding issues
- Maintain accurate and organized accounts payable records
- Assist with month-end closing activities related to accounts payable
- Collaborate with internal departments to ensure proper coding and approval of invoices
- Assist with audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations

Skills:
- Knowledgable of financial concepts
- Proficiency in using accounting software, such as UltiPro or similar systems
- Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record keeping
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to resolve issues effectively

Requirements:
- Preferred 2 years of experience in accounts payable or related field
- Knowledge of governmental accounting is a plus
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in accounting or finance preferred

Job Types: Full-time, Contract, Temporary

Pay: $19.00 - $24.00 per hour
