Role Description:

The Human Resources Generalist will be an integral part of the Human Resources team, serving as a main point of contact for internal employees across both of our headquarters and portfolio companies. We are seeking a Human Resources Generalist who excels in communication and demonstrates a strong level of organizational skills in fast paced environment. As part of the Human Resources team, the ideal candidate will maintain a high degree of professionalism while managing competing priorities.

The position reports to the Human Resources Director and is a full-time hybrid role located in Miami, FL with flexibility after comprehensive training on job responsibilities and a solid understanding of our business model.

*2 days remote, 3 days on-site Miami, FL

*We are unable to provide relocation reimbursement at this time.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • ·Understand company policies and benefits in order to act as the first escalation point of contact for all HR related queries, including addressing recurring concerns, providing information and directions, and redirecting questions where suitable.
  • Assist with employee relations needs including day to day issues, as well as more complex issues including investigations, compiling findings and providing recommendations.
  • Support with drafting documentation in relation to disciplinary action, such as: employee warnings, performance improvement plans and investigation findings.
  • Work with HR management to implement a global HRIS solution and ensuring a smooth transition for holding company and portfolio companies, including data integrity and reporting
  • Administer federal, state and company employee leaves, including working with the HR administrators to create benefit repayment plans.
  • Manage all ADA requests and ensuring compliance.
  • Work closely with Legal department in regard to compliance matters including but not limited to: Visa’s, work authorization, student work permits, handbook updates, policy adjustments etc.
  • Support mergers and acquisitions and conduct HR due diligence.
  • Ability to clearly communication whether written or verbal across all levels of the organization.
  • Generate and analyzes advanced reports to provide an analysis for senior leadership and recommends solutions, programs or policies.
  • Advise employees and managers on internal business practices, procedures, and overall organizational policies.
  • Maintain manager and employee confidence by keeping human resources information confidential.
  • Collaborate with HR admins to review audits and resolve any discrepancies and recommend solutions.
  • ·Assist with the administration of compensation plans and manages the benchmark process for all companies.
  • Assist HR Director in conducting terminations and communicating with employees after departure to ensure all inquiries are resolved and process is complete.
  • Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local legislations pertaining to all personnel matters, collaborating with HR Director to execute compliance updates.
  • Ensure standard operating procedures are up to date.
  • Evaluate processes and systems for greater efficiencies and work with departments to improve internal policies.
  • Participate in other HR related projects, such as: company events, open enrollment, performance management, updating HR forms, compiling reports, and integrating new acquisitions.
  • Oversee the reconciliation and payment of all health and welfare benefits and aid employees with the comprehension of the benefits programs.
  • Assist with training and development initiatives as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree Human Resources Management
  • 4 years of experience working in Human Resources
  • Experience with implementing and administering HRIS and ATS
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, business acumen, and organizational skills
  • Proficient in Excel
  • Experience with international organizations considered an asset

Certifications and Licenses:

  • SHRM or PHR certification considered an asset
