Sales Development Representative

This position supports the Sightpath Medical (SPM) Sales Team through research, analysis, lead generation, market intelligence, project completion and maintenance of customer relationships.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead Generation
    • Uncover territory opportunities through research, competitive information and sourcing leads.
    • Conduct outbound cold calls, work through specific call lists as determined by assigned projects, and following up with interested parties from tradeshows and/or other marketing events.
    • Collaborate with and support Account Executives and Sales Development Manager.
    • Maintain, update and utilize the SPM Salesforce CRM system to record activities.
    • Learn and understand the three legs of the SPM business model, the industry itself and look for ways to source leads and develop relationships.
  • Marketing Support
    • Work with Marketing team to develop plans for Territory Based Content Marketing (TBCM) campaigns as directed by Account Executives and Sales Development Manager.
  • Sales Support
    • Work in cooperation with Account Executives and Sales Development Manager to execute TBCMs related to the promotion of specific territory goals and objectives.
    • Act as a liaison between Account Executives, Sales Development Manager, company departments and customers as needed.
  • Account Maintenance
    • Provide additional support to customers, under the direction of the Account Executives and Sales Development Manager.
    • Assist Account Executives and Sales Development Manager with regular service review processes.

Qualifications:

  • BS degree or equivalent required.
  • 1-2 years inside or outside sales experience or successfully completed a sales internship strongly encouraged.
  • Demonstrated analytic and research abilities.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communications skills (written and verbal).
  • Superior knowledge of accessing and using the Internet, HTML, and MS Office tools.
  • Experience in Salesforce.com or CRM preferred.
  • Knowledge of social media, content marketing, and search engine optimization preferred.
