Renewal by Andersen | Esler Companies is Hiring a Director of Human Resources Near Dallas, TX

The Director of Human Resources will possess exceptional leadership skills, a deep understanding of HR practices, and a proven track record of delivering results. Reporting directly to the VP of Human Resources, this role will be responsible for leading and managing the HR team, ensuring performance standards are met and exceeded, and collaborating across functions to identify areas for improvement and implement new programs and processes. Additionally, the Director will oversee and ensure completion of all HR compliance activities in alignment with applicable laws and regulations.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING - THE ROLE

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of HR professionals, providing guidance and support to ensure high performance and engagement.
  • Foster a collaborative and inclusive work environment within the HR team, promoting teamwork, communication, and professional development.
  • Set clear performance standards and objectives for the HR team in alignment with the company's strategic goals.
  • Monitor and evaluate team performance regularly, providing feedback, coaching, and recognition as necessary to ensure objectives are met or exceeded.
  • Collaborate with the VP of HR and other senior leaders to develop and execute HR strategies that support the overall business objectives.
  • Proactively identify areas for improvement within the HR function and develop innovative solutions to address challenges and drive continuous improvement.
  • Engage with leaders across functions to understand their needs and challenges and collaborate to develop and implement effective solutions.
  • Act as a strategic partner to business units, providing guidance and support to drive business success.
  • Evaluate existing HR programs and processes, identifying opportunities for enhancement or streamlining.
  • Lead the implementation of new HR programs and initiatives, ensuring alignment with best practices and business objectives.
  • Oversee and ensure completion of all HR compliance activities in alignment with applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to:
  • Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) compliance
  • Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) compliance
  • Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) compliance
  • Stay current on changes to HR laws and regulations, communicating updates to relevant stakeholders and implementing necessary changes to ensure compliance.
  • Utilize data and analytics to assess HR performance, identify trends, and make data-driven recommendations for improvement.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Physical Demands

  • Works regularly in office setting at a computer.
  • Continuous sitting up to 8 hours a day.
WHAT YOU'LL BRING - THE PERSON

  • Excellent interpersonal/communication skills and the ability to build strong working relationships across all levels of the organization.

  • Strong understanding of HR best practices, employment law, and regulatory compliance.
  • Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, HR Management; or equivalent experience required.
  • 10 years of progressive HR experience, including leadership roles with demonstrated success in leading and managing HR teams or equivalent experience preferred.
  • HR Certification (SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, SPHR) preferred.
