Description of the Role

Radiology Ltd., a Tucson Arizona based medical imaging company with over 500 employees is seeking a new Director of Human Resources to join our Leadership Team. The primary role of the HR Director is to act as an HR Business Partner to practice leadership on all HR related matters. Additionally, this role will be an integral member of the team responsible for integration activity and change management related to ongoing M&A projects. The role requires a proactive communicator and strong change agent who can successfully balance employee needs with business objectives. A successful incumbent for this role is adaptable, collaborative and willing to roll-up their sleeves to progress the work forward.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Establish intimate understanding of the business, build and expand relationships with leaders and physicians, and create close partnerships across the HR Leadership Team in order to provide HR solutions that support business objectives.
  • Advise business leaders on both strategic and tactical plans to support their business goals and continue to enhance the culture.
  • Collaborates with senior leadership to understand the organizations goals and strategy related to staffing, recruiting, and retention.
  • Lead the local HR team in providing comprehensive day-to-day HR support including workforce planning, recruiting, new hire onboarding, performance management, compensation programs, benefit administration, employee relations, and HR policy guidance.
  • Plans, leads, develops, coordinates, and implements policies, processes, training, initiatives, and surveys to support the organizations human resource compliance and strategy needs.
  • Support employee engagement by monitoring, analyzing and action planning for engagement activities that drive top talent retention.
  • Conducts research and analysis of organizational trends including review of reports and metrics from the organizations human resource information system (HRIS) or talent management system.
  • Monitors and ensures the organizations compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews and modifies policies and practices to maintain compliance.
  • Identifies staffing and recruiting needs; in partnership with the centralized USRS HR team, develops and executes best practices for hiring and talent management.
  • Develops and implements departmental budget.

Ideal Candidates will meet the following profile:


  • 10 years of progressive experience in Human Resources with a minimum of 5 years working with senior leaders as a hands-on HR Business Partner
  • Proven success as a Strategic HR partner, employing progressive HR practices such as change management, organizational development, talent management, and business partnering
  • Successful candidates will possess superior consultative, influencing and communication skills (written, verbal and presentation)
  • Strong business acumen and analytical skills with a demonstrated ability to make data-driven decisions that support business growth
  • Strong HR Generalist skills such as employee relations, recruiting, onboarding, benefits, compensation, systems administration, process/operations and project management
  • Must be extremely organized, self-motivated, and capable of working in an agile environment with the ability to effectively interact with all levels of management, including physicians
  • Ability to multi-task, work on multiple priorities, work independently and as a team in an ambiguous and dynamic environment
  • Working knowledge of HCM systems, processes and reporting
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion at all times
  • Current, in-depth knowledge of federal and state legal requirements related to human resources
  • Experience in healthcare; large physician practice experience a plus
  • Bachelor’s degree required; Masters or advanced level degree strongly preferred
  • Recent SHRM certification or equivalent (e.g. SPHR) strongly preferred
