JOB DESCRIPTION

: Business Development Executive

: Exempt

The following statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed. They are not intended to be construed as an exhaustive list of all responsibilities, duties and skills required of personnel so classified.

SUMMARY:

At Paul Davis, we help Residential and Commercial Property Owners put their lives together after a traumatic event. The Paul Davis Business Development Executive (BDE) is the Public Relations and Business Development side of Paul Davis of New Mexico (PDR). The BDE will work with potential customers and the community to increase awareness of the Paul Davis brand, to promote the services of Paul Davis, and to build industry relationships for Paul Davis of New Mexico.

This position reports to the Owners.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop and build strong relationships with new potential clients for PDR through B2B, organized events, and cold calling.
  • Identify and target specific business development verticals in the insurance and commercial property field.
  • Track client touch points, referrals, and sales in Luxor CRM.

· Focus on customer loyalty and building long-term client relationships.

· Organize and schedule a calendar of consistent Business-To-Business visits.

· Manage business development programs and local advertising initiatives.

  • Sign commercial clients to “First-Priority Agreements”.
  • Facilitate the hand-off of clients to PDR Project Managers when they contact PDR for a job.
  • Remain visible and engaged with clients when they have a job in progress at PDR.
  • Update the company regularly on business development efforts and prospecting targets so that the team can be in the loop on promises made to potential customers.
  • Participate in business networking functions to promote the business.
  • Research local trade shows and coordinate Paul Davis booth set-up.
  • Participate in training courses and annual conference seminars as requested.
  • Ensure staff use the Paul Davis brand correctly in accordance with Brand Standards.
  • Maintain accurate files and records.
  • Performs additional duties as assigned.

Minimum Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Associate’s Degree (Business, Marketing, Public Relations, Communications) from an accredited college/university or Applicable experience.
  • Two or more years’ sales and business development experience (in a Franchise, restoration, construction/home improvement, and/or insurance industry experience ideal
  • A background in business development in an insurance or construction related field (such as: Auto-Glass repair, Car Rental, Insurance, etc.) is preferred.
  • A large local network of professional/business contacts verifiable through an active Linked-In presence.
  • Experience in making presentations to small and large groups/customers.
  • Experience working with customers via phone and internet.
  • Able to pass Drug Test, MVR Check, and Background Check.

Working Conditions:

Working in both the office and in the field (client sites).

· In a typical interior/warehouse/office environment: work performed in an Office setting, must be able to sit for long durations of time.

· Exposure to moderate noise levels.

· May require standing or walking for up to 4 hours per day.

· Must be able to walk up and down stairs.

· Able to lift 25lbs.

· Microsoft O365 consisting of Word, Outlook, Excel, Teams, OneDrive, and other software applications include Xactimate, Symbility, Job Management Software (RMS), etc.
