Network for Teaching Entrepreneurship (NFTE) ignites the entrepreneurial mindset with unique learning experiences that empower students to own their futures. A global nonprofit founded in 1987, NFTE provides high-quality entrepreneurship education to middle school, high school, and postsecondary students.
NFTE is looking for an experienced Executive Assistant to the President & CEO, someone who enjoys putting the puzzle pieces together in a very complex and quickly changing calendar. This role reports directly to the President & CEO and works closely with senior leaders, internal staff, and external stakeholders. This role would support a calendar and travel schedule that includes NFTE engagements as well as the President & CEO’s active engagements in the university and government world.
Role and Responsibilities:
Manage and drive a highly complex and rapidly fluctuating calendar and task list for the President & CEO.
Coordinate complex and rapidly changing travel and accommodation arrangements domestically and internationally.
Prioritize incoming/outgoing communications, including mail, phone calls and reports. Will also sort and distribute incoming mail for the 120 Wall Street Building- 18th floor; collects and delivers outgoing mail to a designated area for pickup
Coordinate with other executives internally and externally in a professional manner.
Handle scheduling matters related to Board of Directors meetings and coordinate with the Sr. Manager, Donor & Executive Communications on related Board matters.
Create and edit detailed presentations, documents, memos as needed/requested.
Prepares for in-person meetings, including arranging catering and breakdown/cleanup after meetings
Track daily expenses and prepare and submit expense reports and invoices in a timely manner.
Maintain various records and documents for President & CEO.
Perform other tasks as directed by the President & CEO.
Qualifications:
3-5 years of experience in an Executive Assistant position; bachelor's degree preferred.
Candidates with prior experience working in non-profits, government agencies, and/or education are highly desired
Experience working in a dynamic, rapidly evolving organization strongly preferred.
Excellent presentation skills and strong interpersonal skills.
Demonstrated problem solving and project management experience.
Patience and flexibility in the ability to juggle multiple demands and priorities.
Strong organizational, time management and follow-through skills.
Able to work independently and collaboratively while anticipated the needs of the President & CEO.
Very detail oriented and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Highly skilled in MS Office – PowerPoint, Outlook, Word, Excel.
Demonstrate enthusiasm and commitment to NFTE’s mission and core values of entrepreneurial thinking, hard work, equity, respect, creativity, collaboration, honesty, quality, transparency, and accountability.
Must be located within commuting distance to NYC.
Working Environment:
The position is hybrid/remote.
Relocation assistance is not available for this role.
Compensation: $70,000-$80,000k annually depending on experience and qualifications. Total rewards suite of outstanding competitive benefits, including:
