(Temporary) Development Administrative Assistant

KERA is seeking a talented Development Administrative Assistant to join our team and help provide administrative support for the Development team on a temporary basis for a six-month term, with a possibility of a full-time position after the initial term.

SUMMARY OF THE ROLE:

The Development Administrative Assistant will report to the Senior Vice President, Development and work closely with the Director, Development Operations and Director, Major Gifts supporting the department consisting of Major Gifts, Membership, and Donor Data (Gift Processing). The successful candidate will be a highly organized self-starter who enjoys a fast-paced and varied job, preferably having experience as an executive administrative assistant to a team of fundraising professionals.

The term for this position is six months, with the possibility for a full-time position after the initial term. The position is full-time (expected 40-hour work week); FLSA non-exempt and is eligible for overtime.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

· Provide administrative support to Major Gifts team, including, but not limited to tracking donations in development database, daily reports to Donor Relations Officers, data entry, data hygiene and CRM maintenance.

· Manage timeliness and accuracy of event invitations, donor acknowledgement letters and campaign appeal letters, printing, mailing, as well as database list pulls for letters.

· Provide general office support for Development Department, including, but not limited to ordering office supplies, answering phones, responding to phone and email inquiries, maintaining calendars, preparing expense reports and invoices, creating meeting agendas, data entry, RSVP management, filing and organizing.

· Support On Air Fundraising campaigns and Raffles by fulfilling prizes and producing pledge breaks as time permits.

· Serve as main point of contact for Vehicle Donation program.

· Schedule meetings/appointments, team-building activities, and make travel arrangements for supervisors and others as required. Draft detailed itineraries and double checks all contact information, travel plan details, directions, and other details to ensure accuracy.

· Securing in-kind food donations, ordering food/snacks/meals and coordinating details for membership drives, meetings, and other gatherings

· Proficiently use advanced software features to format documents and move data or other information between Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

BONUS IF YOU BRING:

· Experience with Tessitura or other CRM systems (e.g., Raiser’s Edge)

· 3-5 years’ experience as administrative assistant or roles with equivalent skills

· Non-profit and/or capital campaign experience

· A passion for supporting non-profits and/or public media

SALARY RANGE

$21-$24 per hour depending on experience

LOCATION:

We expect that this position will work out of our Dallas office 75% of the time.
