Overview

Under direct supervision, provides a variety of administrative and clerical support services to anorganizational unit. Projects a professional company image through in person and phone interaction

Responsibilities

Demonstrates a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to safety policies in all workenvironments and areas.

 

 

● Ensures that all work is conducted in compliance with all administrative policies and procedures.● Provides excellent customer service to employees, external customers, vendors and visitors. Exceedsboth internal and external customers’ expectations of service.● Ensures quality control of work by developing clear, error-free documents to achieve a credible andprofessional presence in all written and electronic communication.● Prioritizes work to ensure that Manager is provided all relevant business information with accuracy andtimeliness to be able to positively impact the business.● Ensure that safety, compliance and environmental requirements are followed within the department.● Types memos, edits and proofreads correspondence, forms and reports. Copies, routes and distributescorrespondence and reports as requested. Files and retrieves documents, records and reports. Maintainsrecords and management systems.● Assembles relevant data and compiles information as directed to meet deadlines.● Answers telephone and screen calls, schedules meetings and appointments. May open and distributemail.● Performs general office duties such as ordering supplies, processing purchase orders, updatingdepartment phone lists, etc. May assist with overflow work from other administrative/executive assistantsand files in for the office receptionist as needed.● Arranges travel following general instructions; checks with supervisor in making significant changes.

Qualifications

Education: High school diploma or equivalent or years of equivalent experience.Required Work Experience: 2-4 years

  • Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety andenvironmental policies in all work environments and areas. Promote a culture of safety and exhibitthese behaviours.
  • Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Holcim approvedPersonal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators. Employees that arerequired to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in orderto pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
