The Business Development Intern will assist the organization with designated tasks set out by the business development team as they pertain to building business partnerships, gathering marketing research, data capturing and working closely with team members to learn more about the organization. This intern will be an integral part of the business development and capture team by assisting in the initial stages of the request for proposal processes.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
·Perform research on opportunities (government business), partners (other businesses) and competitors on government wide acquisition contracts (GWACs)/ indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity contracts (IDIQs)
·Complete competitor analysis and Federal government requirements qualification analysis
·Distribute requests for proposals (RFPs) to the appropriate internal personnel and to the directed distribution list of partners for review
·Prepare the request for proposal gap (RFP) analysis matrix
·Update FWG corporate capability fact sheets
·Send out marketing emails to federal civilian, Department of Defense (DoD) and intelligence community (IC) partners
·Complete training on the government procurement lifecycle to ensure successful performance in roles
·Learn the best business development and capture practices to implement them into the research stage
·Work collaboratively with the business development and capture teams to assist as needed in the RFP process
·Communicate effectively with other members of the FWG team to gather information, data, etc., to aid the business development team in the RFP process
·Other duties as related to the business functions of FWG Solutions, as assigned
REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
·Bachelor's Degree in business, marketing or other related field in-progress or obtained no earlier than 24 months prior to the date of hire
·Master’s Degree in progress, preferred
Licenses & Certifications:

Experience:
·Project planning skills desired
·Entry-level knowledge and skills at the Bachelor’s Degree level within specified area
·Experience working and communicating across remote teams
·Writing experience preferred

·Proficiency in Microsoft Office products
·Eager to learn and work with various departments in the company.
·Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
·Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
·Ability to understand and follow complex, detailed technical instructions.
