ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

• Provide administrative support in Ascend Healthcare’s physical office headquarters.
• Handle patient requests, phone messages, and billing inquiries via phone and fax.
• Review Release of Information (ROI) forms, pull records, obtain necessary approvals, and fax documents.
• Answer incoming calls and respond to voicemail messages.
• Process referrals and enroll patients in services.
• Check all incoming faxes for patient information, documentation, and HR/employee-related materials.
• Send medication refill requests to providers, ensuring proper documentation and filing.
• Forward scanned emails to the appropriate departments within the organization.
• Perform other administrative tasks as assigned by supervisors.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS 

• Experience in a healthcare office environment, understanding basic HIPAA rules and regulations
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Proficiency in handling various office equipment such as fax machines, scanners, and multi-line phone systems.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in handling sensitive information.
• Strong communication skills.

ADDITIONAL NOTES 

• This role requires 20-25 hours per week
• This role requires a consistent in-person schedule Monday- Friday. 
• This position is onsite in Phoenix, Arizona.
