The Marketing Department of Arnold & Porter has an opening for a Business Development (BD) Manager in the New York or Washington, DC office. The BD Manager will primarily support the Bankruptcy and Tax practices while collaborating with the larger Transactional BD team on various Corporate and Transactions practice initiatives. This position also collaborates with the various functional units within the Marketing and Practice Group Management Departments, including PR & Communications, Events, Market Research and Business Intelligence, as well as the various departments within the firm including the Talent Department, Finance and Pricing and others to contribute to joint firm-wide initiatives.
The BD Manager will support a wide variety of projects, pitches and RFPs, directory and award submissions, events, and competitive intelligence research to support cross-selling and identification of business trends and opportunities for the Transactional practices.
The ideal candidate is a strong project manager, attentive to detail, collaborative, self-starting, driven, forward thinking, and energetic.

The anticipated base salary for this position is $132,000 to $170,000. The actual base salary offered will depend on a variety of factors, including without limitation, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and if applicable, the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job.
