American Indian Community Development Corporation is Hiring a Human Resources Manager Near Minneapolis, MN

Job Summary: The Human Resources Manager oversees the overall strategic direction, planning, coordination, administration, and evaluation of the human resources function at AICDC. The Human Resources Manager is responsible for developing and ensuring effective implementation of plans, systems, policies and processes for workforce planning, talent acquisition, talent management and development, employee engagement, recordkeeping, employee relations, total rewards (compensation and benefits), and payroll. The Human Resources Manager will also ensure compliance with company policies and practices, as well as employer compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensures all Company HR related policies are applied consistently.
  • Oversees the development, implementation and coordination of all critical HR initiatives including payroll, benefits administration, employee performance, recruitment and retention.
  • Partners with leaders throughout the organization to support, nurture and develop human capital.
  • Manages HR personnel to develop talent, encourage collaboration, and foster an effective and productive environment.
  • Provides consistent and comprehensive communication of HR related policies and initiatives.
  • Ensures compliance with all laws, regulations, and contracts. Review policies for best practices and effectiveness.
  • Manages positive relationships with external partners (benefits broker, insurance vendors, payroll provider, etc).
  • Affirmative Action Program officer responsible for Affirmative Action Plan, data collection and annual reporting.
  • Plan administrator for benefit programs – Medical, Dental, Vision, ST/LT disability, and 401k.
  • Manages Open Enrollment process to ensure all eligible employee enrollment.
  • Onboards new hires and data collection for all employees.
  • Organizes and maintain personnel records.
  • Processes bi-weekly payroll.
  • Updates Employee Handbook and review policy and procedures as needed.
  • Manages Worker’s Compensation claims and annual reporting, Family Medical Leave Act, and Unemployment claims.

Qualifications:

  • 3-5 Years Experience in Human Resource Management
  • SHRM Certification preferred
  • BS in Human Resources or relevant field preferred
  • Experience with ADP HR and Payroll preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite products
  • Thorough knowledge of labor laws, Affirmative Action and other federal requirements
  • Strong positive communication skills
  • Exhibits extraordinary discretion, confidentiality, and flexibility
  • Must pass MDHS background check
  • Exhibits strong professionalism and organizational skills

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $75,000.00 - $79,000.00 per year
