The role:

Provides frontline, day-to-day support in administering human resources policies and programs covering a broad range of HR topics which include recruiting, staffing & on-boarding, employee interactions & support, performance management, training & development, site leadership and HRIS utilization. Position also partners to support worker’s compensation, compensation, benefits, diversity & engagement initiatives, and policy interpretation.

  • Employee support: Responds to employee inquiries regarding policies and procedures, benefits, and performance management, and ensures compliance with internal controls and code of conduct requirements. Supports nonexempt and exempt employee groups.
  • Performance management: Acts as a consultant to managers in handling employee performance issues including decisions around disciplinary action and review of any related documentation prior to meeting with employee.
  • Recruiting, staffing, and on-boarding: Partners hiring manager and compensation team in creating and maintaining job descriptions. In collaboration with Talent Acquisition team engages in hands-on recruiting by supporting exempt and non-exempt recruiting efforts. This may include sourcing and screening applicants, schedules interview, conducts interviews, leads, or participates in post-interview decision sessions.
  • Proficiently utilizes HRIS and generates reports from HRIS system to provide key information to HR Leader, HR partners and assigned client group(s).
  • Employee relations: Partners with Employee Relations team and conducts employee investigations where appropriate and as directed, including compiling documentation and conducting a review with HR Leader. Conducts exit interviews.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or Human Resources or
  • High school diploma/GED and 4 years of related experience in Human Resources
  • Knowledge and understanding of client groups/business financial performance
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint & Outlook)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of Employment Legislation
  • Strong written, verbal, and presentation communication skills
  • Project and task management experience
  • Organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Working knowledge of Workday
